Our BoardPresident: Eden Irgens
Eden is co-founder of Range, a branding and marketing firm with offices in Dallas, TX and Coeur d'Alene, ID. Eden has 20+ years of research, strategy, planning, positioning / message development and program management experience. Based in Range's Coeur d'Alene Idaho office, Eden is actively involved in all areas of brand management, strategy services, communication asset development and marketing/advertising planning and implementation for Range's corporate, non-profit and political clients.
Eden grew up in Kansas City, KS and has a BS in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from the University of Kansas. Rock Chalk Jayhawk! She has two children in the Coeur d’Alene School District.
She currently serves as a Board member of Safe Passage, is a member of the Coeur d’Alene Rotary Club and President of Balance North Idaho, a Political Action Committee. Previously she was on the Tesh Board of Directors, Boys & Girls Club of Kootenai County Board of Directors (President 2008-2010), Chair of the Coeur d'Alene Arts Commission, and member of SD 271's Long Range Planning Committee.
Secretary: Thomas J. Cronin
Thomas J. Cronin retired after a 43 year career in law enforcement. Cronin served as Police Chief for the Coeur d'Alene Tribal Police ensuring all officers were state certified and cross-deputized by both Kootenai and Benewah Counties. Prior to that Cronin served for several years as the Police Chief for the city of Coeur d'Alene. Previously, Chief Cronin served over 31 years with the Chicago Police Department retiring as the Commander of the Forensic Services Division (CSI-Chicago) responsible for all the crime scenes in the city. Cronin is one of only 38 police officers in the world who served a one year Fellowship with the FBI's Behavioral Science Unit with expertise in the art of criminal behavioral analysis (criminal profiling).
In 1998, Janet Reno, Attorney General of the U.S. appointed Cronin to the Crime Scene Investigation Working Group of the National Commission of the Future of DNA Evidence. Chief Cronin was also on the Advisory Board for the International Association of Chiefs of Police's initiative entitled "Enhancing Law Enforcement's Impact from the Crime Scene to the Courtroom and Beyond."
Chief Cronin holds both a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Science degree from Lewis University in Lockport Illinois. Cronin has attended executive development and management programs at the University of Illinois and Northwestern University in Evanston Illinois. Cronin has extensive training in advanced threat assessment and management. Cronin has published numerous articles on crime scene management and analysis. Cronin was requested by the US State Department and the US Justice Department in 2002 to travel to Albania and instruct police officials on investigating and managing homicide scenes. Cronin also served 4 years in the US Air Force. Until recently Cronin served as adjunct faculty at North Idaho College. Previously Cronin served as adjunct faculty at Northwestern University from 1987 - 2000.
Cronin is a member of the Coeur d'Alene Rotary Club and served as President for that club in 2012-2013. He has also served on numerous boards and committees such as; United Way, Women's Center, Kootenai and Benewah Counties Emergency Planning, North Idaho College's Law Enforcement Advisory Board, N. I. C. Booster Club, Secret Witness, CdA Summer Theatre, CdA Chamber Public Policy Committee, CASA, as well as serving as the co-chair for the 2007 District 271 School Levy Campaign which was successful.

Mr Smith is an an Accredited Asset Management Specialist and has worked in the financial services industry for 20 years in Kootenai County and throughout the Western United States. He specializes in the asset management of family owned businesses, Retirement planning, business succession and financing. Mr. Smith studied Marketing and Finance at the University of Indiana’s College for Financial Planning.
Mr. Smith is active in the community and currently serves on the Balance North Idaho Board, North Idaho Republican Political Action Committee, Chair of the Coeur d’Alene Chamber of Commerce Public Policy Committee along with the Kootenai County Boys and Girls Club Board. Past positions include Kootenai Perspectives Chair, Lakeland Education Foundation, United Way of Kootenai County. He has also held board positions of the Hayden and Rathdrum Chambers of Commerce. His hobbies include boating, cycling, hunting, fly fishing and traveling.
His wife, Juli, of 29 years, currently serves on the CASA board of directors.
